Axis meeting in Chester office

Axis LVIA staff assisted Peel Energy in securing planning consent for a 12 turbine, 145m to blade tip wind farm on the outskirts of Lerwick, Shetland.

Axis advised on the design of the windfarm from a landscape and visual perspective and undertook the Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment for the project. A key issue was minimising the potential effects on a nearby National Scenic Area. This was achieved through an iterative design process earlier in the design development stage and Scottish Natural Heritage raised no objections in this respect.
