On 17th July 2013 the Blaenau Gwent Council planning committee voted to grant consent for an 86.5 metre / 500kW wind turbine located on land at Penrhiwgwaith Farm, near Tredegar.

Axis prepared the planning supporting statement for the application, which addressed Planning policy, Landscape and Visual Impact, Cultural Heritage, Ecology and Noise.

The energy generated by the turbine would be sufficient to produce enough electricity to meet the annual needs of approximately 280 homes.
