Axis meeting in Chester office

Axis was commissioned by Capita on behalf of Environment Agency (EA) in Spring 2018 to provide planning consultancy services for the Kendal Linear Flood Defences, part funded by ERDF.

Axis and Capita worked closely with EA, South Lakeland District Council and Historic England to develop proposals through the sensitive historic core of Kendal and along the River Kent SAC/SSSI.

Axis coordinated the various planning submissions including Planning Statement, Design and Access statement, Statement of Community Involvement. Applications for listed building consent, scheduled monuments and works on Common Land will be prepared shortly. Subject to gaining necessary consents, EA hope to commence work on site in late spring 2019.
