AXIS has worked closely with its public and private clients to help deliver a wide range of community based facilities: These include:

These projects have been wide ranging in nature and have been delivered in both urban and rural situations.

AXIS is particularly active in transportation planning for residential developers and the health care sector where commissions range from scheme specific transportation assessments to sustainable travel plans. Involvement in leisure projects has included the preparation of masterplans to upgrade country parks, obtaining planning permissions for major marina developments (with associated residential use) and the design and supervision of the construction of outdoor sports facilities.

With regard to institutional commissions, AXIS has extensive experience of working on the planning of new cemetery projects including contentious sites within Green Belt, AONB and in small rural towns. AXIS has also worked with local authorities and the private sector in the development of outdoor residential educational establishments (field centres). These projects have benefited from the combination of AXIS' planning and landscape design experience to create acceptable design solutions in highly constrained and designated sites.
